House Considers Repealing 22nd Amendment

Earlier this year, Rep. Jose Serrano, D-N.Y. introduced H. J. Res. 5, a bill that would repeal the Constitution’s 22nd Amendment which prohibits a president from being elected to more than two terms in office, thus potentially paving the way to make Barack Obama president for life. Not surprisingly, the corporate media currently caught up in Obama-mania has not covered this story.

Hi Friends,

I am deeply moved by the death of Michael Jackson.  I am soooo sad…first because I was in love with him as a young girl and second because he is my age - it is hard to see people my age die - I am far too young to die!

I remember being a young girl and faithfully reading my Tiger Beat magazine and saving every poster of Michael Jackson, Donnie Osmond, The Monkees (Davey Jones), David Cassidy, and Bobbie Sherman.  Their posters were on every inch of my walls.

I was convinced that one of them would be my husband someday…anyone of them would have been fine, but I preferred Michael Jackson or Donnie Osmond.  I was absolutely in love with both of them.  In fact, David Cassidy was my first concert.  20,000 screaming, crying girls…including meJ.

My parents thought I was nuts, but tolerated it.  As most parents of teens do.  I remember that Ayla loved Hanson… to tell you the truth - so did IJ).  Three brothers who were as cute as they come.  I took her to see them in person and I enjoyed the concert as much as she did. 

All three of my kids loved Michael Jackson, even my mom loves him.  He was a true talent and crossed all barriers of race, age, religion…everyone had at least one Michael Jackson song they loved.  If the truth be told - even you macho guys have at least one Michael Jackson song you loved…we all did.

Let’s face facts here…he became very eccentric towards the end - the bleaching of his skin, the extreme surgeries, the child molesting allegations, looking like a woman, and so on.  I lost a lot of faith in him when he was accused of molesting children.  No one but Michael and the children will ever really know.  The “parent” part of me believes it to be true, but the “fan” part of me doesn’t want to think about it.

Regardless of what he did or didn’t do - he was an amazing talent and changed history.  He was the absolute best dancer on earth, wrote amazing songs, raised millions for charity, had an incredible voice, and really made us think.  Besides that - we was soooo cute - at least while he was blackJ.  I didn’t like the bleached skin and tiny nose, I liked the original Michael Jackson best.

I have been watching tributes all day and I can’t decide what song I liked best - there are too many to choose from.  I really like “We Are The Children”, “Man in The Mirror”, of course “Thriller” - forgot how great that video was…so many great songs, so much talent….

I’m certain when the toxicology comes out, it will be nothing but bad news and a media frenzy.  I’m sure it will all swirl around drugs and people will try to slander what is left of his image.  So while people are celebrating his life, so should we.  Regardless of what the reports say - I will always remember a young boy who was going to be my husband someday - maybe I still have a chance with Donnie OsmondJ…

He will be missed by the world - I for one will miss him and what he has done for me…he gave a young girl many hours of dreaming about life, love, marriage, the future, and so much more.

As promised, Sundays will be a message from God. People always think that religion and business do not go together. I totally agree - “religion” causes all sorts of problems.

People always think Christians are religious nuts - not true. Christians aren’t religious - we have a “relationship” with God. That’s all he wants - a relationship with you. I talk to God like a best friend. I spent time telling him how I feel, what I would like to see happened, praying for YOUR success and more.

Today, I’d like to talk about HOW TO PRAY.

Most people think that they have to “fix their lives” before they can come to God. Nothing could be further from the truth. God wants to be in your life and HELP you make changes. If you have financial issues, relationship issues, health issues, or any issues - just talk to God. He wants to be your friend and confidant. All He wants is for you to say hi, talk to Him, confide in Him, tell Him what you want from Him, and always ask what you can do for HIM.

There is no right or wrong way to pray…just talk. I start my day by waking up and saying good morning to God before I get out of bed. Then I talk to Him throughout the day. I’m not one of these people who sit and pray for an hour a day. I try to stay in a constant state of prayer and speak to God all day.

Then when I lay my head on the pillow at night, I pray for all the things on my mind - family, my kids, money, you, and whatever else I am thinking of. Then I just talk. It is very calming to trust God to meet all your needs. He wants to be your “go to” person, but He can’t do it if you don’t say HI once in a while.

Make a goal for the next 30 days to talk to God throughout the day and watch your life calm down, your spirit will be calm, and life will just seem easier. Try it and tell me your results.
